Catherine Phillips is a Red River Métis writer with English, Irish, and Scottish heritage. Her Métis family names include Brown, Johnston, Moore, Richards, Thomas, and Truthwaite. Her maternal roots are in Manitoba.

Catherine’s work has appeared in Pinhole Poetry, The New Quarterly, Room, and The Hart House Review, among others. She is a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s Creative Writer’s Studio and an alumna of the Audible Indigenous Writers’ Circle program. She lives in Tsí Tkaròn:to.
